Rates for space rental and services are divided into three categories based on the client’s affiliation to Yale SOM.
Yale SOM – These are clients that are hosting an event as part of the official operations of a Yale SOM department or recognized student club. SOM events have a direct connection to the school of management. Events hosted by SOM students, faculty or staff that do not have a primarily SOM audience or a connection to the mission of the school are considered affiliates.
- SOM Affiliates - These are clients who have an affiliation with the School of Management through a teaching appointment or other related activity but who are not directly SOM departments or groups.
Non-SOM – These are clients from a Yale department that has no direct affiliation with Yale SOM.
Yale SOM Alumni renting Evans Hall will pay this rate.
External – These are clients that are not directly affiliated with Yale.
Space fees are inclusive of basic room setup and custodial support. If the SOM Events Office determines an event requires advanced setup or custodial support additional fees may apply. A 10% management fee will be added to all non-SOM room reservations. This management fee includes up to three event diagram changes and a set number of pre-event logistics meetings. Additionally event management support is billed at an hourly rate.
Media Support fees can be estimated by the SOM Events Office, however the final number of hours and technicians billed may differ from the initial quote depending on the actual support required for the event. Media support is required in the Zhang Auditorium.
All appropriate fees will be charged for every event unless there is a documented approved exception.
Payment Terms:
- Events paid with a Yale COA or check are not subject to processing fees. Credit card payments are subject to a 3.95% fee.
- Once a rental agreement is signed, 50% of the total is committed to the Yale School of Management.
- SOM Hospitality services are billed separately and are subject to separate payment terms.
