Summary
The SOM Information Technology Services department provides a Desktops and Laptops Service to the SOM community. The Media services offerings include support for a variety of live conference formats to support the full continuum of conference and broadcast needs.
Video Storage and Serving | Yale stores, manages and serves video for use throughout our digitial systems. Media Services manages the video infrastructure that allows videos to be stored and served for instruction, web sites, and general use. | |

Multiple speakers requiring multiple microphones at the same time. *All classrooms have 2 Wireless Handhelds and 2 Wireless Lavaliers. This requires setup time if a different configuration is needed. Webinars/Livestreams are a one-way video stream out to a remote audience. Webinars often have chat support for Q & A. Program managers typically moderate these chats not Media Services. | ||
Live stream Setup and Support | Media Services provides a manned camera technician from the Media Control Center (MCC) or Studio. This involves a dedicated technician manning a camera remotely from the MCC to ensure presenters are captured. Standard application is Zoom.
