Summary

 Use this article if you are attempting to add files to Announcements in Canvas and the file never loads in the Announcement, but it does end up in Files - you may have the Google extension Last Pass installed. In which case, this function will not work. Step-by-step guide

If you have the Google extension "Last Pass" installed, you must complete the following steps in order to add Files to Announcements:

  1. Navigate to Canvas, https://canvas.yale.edu/, and login
  2. Add the file to "Files" first
  3. Then insert the file into the assignment the announcement is for
    (Reference Desk-3334 for history)
