With the introduction of Capital IQ as part of the Yale University Library portfolio of software, access changes will affect the SOM community who had access to accounts prior to July 2019.
Information
S&P Global has recently made changes to their subscription and licensing model for Capital IQ and we are pleased to announce that Yale University Library will now be providing campus-wide access to the platform. As a result of this transition from SOM-only to University-wide access, there will be changes to how you will access the platform.
This transition brings some additional changes to Capital IQ, including self-registration for new accounts (an @yale.edu email address is required), access to the Capital IQ plug-in for excel, and new content in the Global Market Intelligence platform. Returning students from the Class of 2020 will receive an email notifying them of this change before the fall semester. Please contact business.reference@yale.edu with questions.
Existing Capital IQ account holders were sent an email from ClientSupport@capitaliq.com on July 27 that includes a prompt to create a new password. This is not spam or junk mail! Once your password is updated, Capital IQ will be accessible at www.capitaliq.com and you will login with a username (your @yale.edu email address) and password
Please note: you still need to be on Yale network to access Capital IQ (connect via VPN while off-campus)
