Summary

Yale VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a way to securely access Yale's restricted services and resources on the University network from a non-Yale internet source. VPN is also required for remote access to on-campus workstations (via Remote Desktop Connection [RDC]). The University recommends Cisco AnyConnect software to connect to the Yale VPN. Step-by-step guide

To install and configure Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client on Windows devices:

  1. Click here to download Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client, select Windows Download
  2. Open Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client from All Programs
  3. When Cisco opens, type in access.yale.edu then click Connect:

  4. After you hit connect, your default browser will open to the DUO mobile screen.

  5. Once a connection is established, you will see the following message on the screen.
