The Media services offerings cover the podium support for faculty and lectures, panel discussions, live conferences, webinars, as well as television network and radio broadcast.  Classroom podium support offerings allow Media Services to assist you in a number of ways.  Request are also approved based on availability of both staff and equipment resources.

If you expect to present at SOM, we recommend you become familiar with our equipment.  Here is a brief pictoral overview of the classroom presentation equipment. For more in-depth training, please email somit@yale.edu and we can setup a training in a classroom for you.

Kick-off support provides for a Media Services technician to to check in and assist to ensure everything is working as expected.

A Media Services Technician will partner with the presenter and stays for the duration of the presentation and operates the audio visual technology (audio, video and presentations) in the room. This is typically used for more complex presentations with multiple microphones, tight timelines, multiple presentations, VIP speakers and presentations including translation

Panel discussions typically host multiple speakers requiring multiple microphones at the same time. Media Services can provide this configuration for your event. Will there be a remote panelist?  If so, please see Video Conference

Media 911Media 911 support is enacted when someone presses the HELP button in a classroom or lecture hall. It typically indicates a media emergency during or just prior to a session start. In addition, some of the advance hardware will send automated notifications when they need attention. These notifications fall into this category, as Media Services monitors and acts on those notifications as well.
