Summary

The SOM Information Technology Services department provides a variety of team collaboration space tools.  Some of these are cloud based, and some are hosted here at Yale.  Read the general descriptions to understand which service offering is right for your needs.

OneDrive, it is part of your Office365 account and suite of services. Get to and share your documents, photos, and other files from your iOS device, computer (PC or Mac), and any other devices you use.

Confluence is a team collaboration service that gives you a space to create and share files, checklists, meeting notes, and upload/share documents.  Participants must be part of the Yale community, and sign-on is through your Yale NetID.


Archive 2.28.2022 Yale Secure File Transfer

The Yale Secure File Transfer service offers a means of securely transferring files, large or small (including ePHI/ 3-Lock Data). This can be used to transfer documents to collaborators on/off Yale's campus

Box at Yale is a cloud-based file sharing and storage workspace that enables people to collaborate and share information. Box at Yale makes it easy to upload content, organize files, share links to files, and manage file and folder permissions in order to collaborate with other Box users.

Department and Group StorageSOM IT provides shared, on-site server storage for groups or teams which desire sharing functions. While this does not offer versioning for files, its a great solution to store standard department templates, forms and other information.

Archive BasecampBasecamp is a ubiquitous cloud-based project management and team collaboration tool, helping groups to manage projects and collaborate teams near or far! SOM is moving away from its' use of Basecamp, as Confluence and Box use continue to grow.
