Zoom is updated regularly as security vulnerabilities are identified.  Use these instructions to ensure you have the latest version of zoom installed on your computer

Step-by-step guide

These instructions apply to the zoom application if it is installed directly on your Windows or Macintosh computer.  It does not apply to your mobile device, as mobile devices have native update capability.

1. Launch your zoom client.
2. In the top menu bar, you should see zoom.us as the first menu option (images taken from a Macintosh computer, but should be similar to Windows)
   Image Removed. Select the "Check for Updates..." option from the menu.

3.   A window will be displayed showing you the version of zoom you are running, and will inform you if there is a later version available. 
   
4. Select Update to install the newest version of zoom.  When the update is complete, zoom will automatically relaunch (a reboot is not required).
   
5. The updated version number will appear along the bottom of the zoom screen.If you select "Check for Updates" again from the zoom. us menu, or you already have the latest version available, the message will be displayed letting you know that no update is necessary
   Image Removed Your zoom software is now up to date and you are ready to meet!.
