The Wired Network and Wifi Services are provided centrally by Yale University ITS.   The School of Management has access to these services and will provide best effort support for them.  We have listed this information in our Service Catalog for the convenience of our community, however, SOM IT does not control or manage these.

Ethernet Wired ConnectionsMost of the Yale office space, and nearly all of Evans Hall offices have ethernet connections to the Yale Campus network. If you have a office desktop computer, or a docking station for your laptop located there, it can be connected to the Yale Network directly.

When connecting any device through wifi, YaleSecure is the recommended, encrypted wifi network for anyone with a Yale NetID. YaleSecure uses your NetID and password to authenticate your device

When accessing campus resources off-campus, you will use Yale's Virtual Private Network (VPN) to create a secure connection.

Yale Guest WifiThe YaleGuest network allows access to a segregated portion of the Yale University wireless network and is provided for guests of the University only. No username or password is required. The YaleGuest network is insecure (open and unencrypted).

All devices using the Yale Network must be associated with an individual. While most devices can do this by use of the Yale Secure wifi network, devices such as game consoles may not. In those cases, devices should be registered with NetReg.
