MyApps at Yale (myapps.yale.edu) is a comprehensive desktop and app virtualization service. It provides access to a Windows based environment containing Yale licensed software from both personal and Yale owned devices.
How to connect
Windows and macOS computers can connect to the MyApps At Yale environment via the Remote Desktop application or via web client. Use of the remote desktop application is recommended for the best user experience.
To access the new environment, please download the remote desktop software
Access to the new MyApps at Yale environment is also available through the Microsoft Web Client.
Important Information
To prevent data loss, please save all data to a network or cloud drive (OneDrive, Google Drive, Box)
VPN is not required to access MyApps At Yale. You will, however, be prompted for MFA (duo).
Your existing Yale email address and NetID password will provide access to the system.
Windows OS Connections
Once the application is installed launch the remote desktop client and click Subscribe.
Log in with your Yale email address:
If prompted for Work or Personal choose Work:
Enter your netid password: and click sign in.
You will then be presented with any available resources:
Choose SOM-Desktop and when prompted enter your NetID password
MAC OS Connections
Launch the Microsoft Remote Desktop application and choose Not now if prompted.
Click on the PCs tab and select Add Workspace
Enter https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com as the workspace URL.
Log in with your Yale email address.
If prompted for Work or Personal choose Work.
Enter your netid password and click sign in.
You will then be presented with any available resources. Choose SOM-Desktop to connect.
Login with your Yale email address and netid password. Click Continue.
