The SOM Information Technology Services department provides a variety of computing resources to the SOM Community. The school is equipped with a computer laboratory, email kiosks located throughout the building and networked breakout rooms. | Getting Started with the SOM HPC Cluster | SOM is implementing a new HPC cluster with much greater capabilities compared to our existing research cluster. Currently, the HPC cluster consists of 16 compute nodes, each running dual AMD EPYC processors (128 cores), at least 512 GB of RAM, and NVIDIA GPUs (RTX 8000 and A100). Totals for the cluster include 1,664 CPU Cores, 7.8 TB of RAM, and 39 GPUs. Additional nodes will be added in the first quarter of 2024.

| Teaching Assistant Registration | Yale and the union Local 33 entered into a collective bargaining agreement that establishes a new scale of salaries and benefits for Ph.D. students. The agreement also covers MBA and other master degree students at SOM who are employed as Teaching Assistants (TAs) for full-semester courses. To achieve parity with the wage structure in the local 33, and to achieve consistency in hours worked as a TA for courses, instead of paying a TA by the course we will be paying them by the hour. To support this effort, a system for Faculty to register TAs for their assignments and for SOM staff to track the assignments was created. This system will track the number of hours worked per TA and per course, and payment for said hours. | | Faculty Resources from the Deputy Deans Office | The Deputy Deans Office provides information and guidance on Faculty Panels, Workshops, Teaching Tpis and Research.
